As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI) and in commemoration of the International Day of Forests 2025, an insightful invited talk titled "Forests for Food" was organized at Tectona Hall, KFRI. The session, held on March 21, 2025, featured Dr G. Christopher, Former Research Coordinator – Human Ecology & Natural History at ACESSD, MG University, Kottayam, as the distinguished speaker.
Dr. Christopher’s talk delved into the critical relationship between forests and food security, highlighting how forests play an essential role in sustaining ecosystems that support food production, biodiversity, and cultural traditions.
