KFRI is celebrating its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years of pioneering research and contributions to forest science, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. As we reflect on our journey and the significant milestones we have achieved, we invite everyone to join us in celebrating our past accomplishments and shaping the future of forest research and conservation.

 

The Institute is envisioned as a Centre of Excellence in Tropical Forestry to provide scientific support for decision making on matters related to forestry, with particular emphasis on conservation, sustainable utilization and scientific management of natural resources.

 

Year-long golden jubilee celebrations of the 50th anniversary of KFRI are being held extensively at the institute. As part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations, the committees planned several events throughout the year in several sessions, including Keynote addresses, Logo unveiling, Panel discussions on relevant topics, Symposiums, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions.
